Cool AF ski wax bag from Rex of Finland. In the 70s and 80s, Rex was one of the "big three" Nordic ski wax manufacturers, along with Rode of Italy and the one based in Norway. Because of the relatively arid climate in Finland, Rex waxes were developed to work best in dry, cold conditions, and are still popular when the location or weather calls for that.
This beautiful cotton bag was likely sold with a basic sampling of wax included, to be used by recreational skiers on a day's outing. Measuring 18cm wide by 30cm tall, the bag can be used for its original purpose, or something creative that the buyer comes up with.
The image on the front depicts a knicker-wearing skier in mid-stride; the technique is nearly perfect so it is likely Moose who was used as the model. (Due to his walnut-sized brain, however, he doesn't remember). Because knickers fell out of fashion in the late 1970s, this bag is probably from maybe the mid 60s to the mid 70s.
The first two pictures show the actual bag being sold in this posting; we have a few of these things so the last 3 pics may or may not be the one being sold. They are for informational purposes - size, capacity, etc.
