When Pål Tyldum won the 50k in Sapporo in 1972 on a pair of Splitkein epoxy-base racing skis, Swix knew they were f&%ked. Base prep and waxing was changing, with pine tar chucked to the curb and alpine waxes being used more for glide. Well the Legends of Lillehammer weren't going to be caught with their pants around their ankles for long, so the product team came up with this clever kit to turn anyone's wood base tortoises into modern rockets.
There are detailed instructions included, but to summarize: take some of the sh!t from can A and mix it with some cr@p from can B, and smear it on the bottom of the skis. Let it dry and sand it down. Holmenkollen here we come!!!
