Well, we have something for you. We have come across vintage Northwest Orient Airlines bags that were used to protect skis during a flight. The logo was used by NWA from 1969-1989, so draw your own conclusions about when the bags were produced.
Northwest Airlines was one of the first in America, initially delivering mail and then adding passenger service. When they started trans-pac service they added the "Orient" to their name, but ditched that at the end of the 20th century because it wasn't ok anymore. Northwest was subsumed by Delta Airlines, so this bag is a keepsake from the glory days of travel!!!
