There was a time when, not so long ago, unless you were Norwegian, you skied on Finnish skis. And, if you were a racer, you skied on Järvinens. This hat hails from the mid 1980s after the move to fiberglass skis, when Järvinen had rebounded from the gut-punch that Nordic ski makers took in the early 70s when European manufacturers led the switch from wood. By then heroes such as Juha Mieto were back on Jarvinen boards.
This hat as been worn once, and then washed, so it's basically new. No holes. Wool/wool blend.
Sadly, Järvinen no longer exists as a major ski brand but you can relive the good ol' days with this hat.
