Well, don't be THAT person again. Next time out make sure you have a spare tip with you, such as one of these light and adjustable aluminum jobs that Skifabrikk recently imported to the USA. Lightly, or never used (Norwegians are better skiers than most everyone else), this critical part is a MUST in your backpack. Recommended roll of duct tape, to secure tip in place, not included.
Also functions as a trowel, or emergency Jai-alai "cesta".
