Retki means "tour" tai "jaunt" in Finnish,  and you will have a jaunty tour with these beautiful relics from the bygone era.   The tops are in near perfect condition, and feature two intact Karhu bear logos on the tips - worth the purchase of the skis by themselves.  Jofa (Swedish!) cable bindings were common in Finland at the time.  The bases show that the skis have been used, with the most wear near the tips which is the part of the base that first contacts the snow.  But these birch/hickory soles have been lovingly cleaned, sanded and tarred, and are ready for their next advenure.

Helsinki-based Karhu (Finnish for "bear") has equipped skiers ranging from the Finnish army to World Champions such as Harri Kirvesniemi.  And soon, you.
