These are big boys indeed. They should come with a steering wheel. Beautifully refreshed pair of 1960s Bonna Fjellski (mountain skis) with Kandahar bindings. The hickory bases have been cleaned, smoothed, and tarred, and the metal edges stripped of rusty crud that accumulated over the years. A shiny coat of urethane has been added for protection to the tops.
The Lommedalen Skifabrikk was the creation of Narve Bonna, 1924 Olympic silver medalist in ski jumping. Lommedalen is close to Oslo, a bit to the left of Holmenkollen. A lot of the fjellskis made their way up to Bergen, because the town is basically cut out of the mountains along the western coast. These are no exception, and you can imagine the adventures that they have seen.
