I'm at the core a money-grubbing capitalist, so I had to think long and hard about whether I wanted to let these beauties go. 215cm is one of the rarest lengths of vintage cross-country skis, and for us "solid" people, they are a must but a tough find. Plus, these skis are in fantastic shape, especially after the highly-compensated, humanely-treated happy workforce at Skifabrikk did some freshening up to them.
Ole Askjem's factory in Stokke churned out touring, racing, and jumping skis of the highest quality. This pair is mounted with a classic pair of Gresshoppa cable-style bindings, which battled Gresvig's Kandahar brand during the cut-throat binding wars that took place in Norway in the 50s and 60s.
