Trak was a German brand famously known for its "fishscale" no-wax base pattern. Fishscales became so ubiquitous in the cross-country ski world that for a time all no-wax skis were referred to as fishscales. Trak worked with other companies to manufacture parts of the nordic ski kit. These skis, the famous fishscale, were manufactured in Finland.
Plastic-base no-wax skis were a revolution to the nordic ski industry when they were launched in the early 1970s. Ditch the pine tar and the wax, and the hours of preparation. Just put on your skis and zip along (literally), without a care in the world.
This example, despite the very Norwegian name "Loipe", was made in Finland. Regardless of their origin, these skis flash classic early 70s orange and royal blue. Never mounted with bindings, and bearing original informational stickers. They would look pretty groovy next to your lava lamp and your velour sofa.
Tails show a bit of wear (see pic); likely due to resting on various surfaces over the years. Bases have a scratch or two.
