HIGHLY desirable birch base, hickory edge PELTONEN Erikoiskilpa ("Special Racing") cross-country skis. VERY hard to find these in good condition. These skis were purchased in Finland in the spring of 2023 and brought back to the USA. There has been light touch up on the tops and the bases have been cleaned, smoothed, and tarred by the pros at Skifabrikk. Karhu-brand aluminium 4-pin racing bindings give the skis a proper period look.
Compared to similar-looking Järvinen skis, very few of these skis were made. However, unlike Järvinen, Peltonen brand skis are still made today and are sold globally.
