These skis may not have matching numbers, but don't tell them that because they think they're perfect! This is a flat-out beautiful example of Järvinen's mid-60s "popular" racing ski. They are heavier and wider than the top racing model, but that makes them easier to ski on, too. The bindings pre-date the skis by at least a decade - while 4-pin was the standard in Finland until the mid-70s this configuration is unique. To use as is, you'd need a vintage pair of boots with holes carved out in the right places, or you could replace with a mid-60s 2-piece binding with the pins in the standard location. Or just lean the skis against the wall and admire them.
The bases have very little use - they looked almost new when we acquired the skis in Finland in April 2023. Skifabrikk techs have smoothed the bases and to protect them applied a light-coloured pine tar that allows the grain of the wood and laminations to be appreciated.
NOTE: The original 4-pin bindings will be removed prior to shipment of the skis to prevent damage to the bases. If the buyer does not want the bindings, Skifabrikk will reduce the price of the skis by $10.
