When we go to Estonia, naturally we want to replenish our inventory of black Visu Extra woodies from the 1970s. This pair appears to have been made for the export market, given the French on the bottom. But they are still from behind the Iron Curtain - the pencil script in the groove on the bases proves that. Manufacture date in 1978! It appears that since then the skis have spent some time in a damp environment, as the tails have a smidge of rot. In addition, there was some cupping towards the tip of one of the skis. We flattened this out using proprietary techniques, but you can still see the gap on the base of one of the skis (check the pics). Otherwise they are perfect!
