The Lommedalen Skifabrikk was the creation of Narve Bonna, 1924 Olympic silver medalist in ski jumping. Lommedalen is close to Oslo, a bit to the left of Holmenkollen.

Bonna skis were big sellers in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, including in the USA. This particular model is from the early 1960s, and features well-preserved graphics. One may note that one ski is slightly darker than the other. This isn't unusual - obviously they each got different shades of stain! They are matching numbers, however, and their cambers are similar. Skis were made individually and matched up after they were made, so differences like these would happen.

The skis themselves have been refinished on the tops and bottoms. The holes on the side are for hooks that could be affixed to hold down the binding cables during descents. Beautiful Kandahar bindings complete the package.
