Recently acquired from the land that invented snow, these skis will look great on your wall, or guarantee you last place in your next race!!! Hand made from solid wood, likely hickory. The tip is called "sukkerbit" in Norwegian, which means sugar cube. These types of tips were used for bracing the ski tips during storage to ensure that the skis didn't flatten out. It was quite a process to get bend into solid wood ski tips, so you didn't want to lose any!!!
The bindings are Gresvig "loipebinding" which believe it or not is a racing binding of that era. Originally there would be straps that would extend back and loop around the heel of the boot, and also a strap that would go over the top of the binding and keep the toe in place. These are missing but they come up from time to time.....
