The Lampinen Suksitehdas (ski factory) was based in Porvoo, Finland, about half an hour northeast of Helsinki. Emil Lampinen began making skis in the early 1900s, and by the late 1960s Lampinen was one of the largest ski producers in Finland. As an interesting sidenote, prior to closure the Lampinen factory was making ski shafts for the now-ubiquitous Marwe rollerski.
The Kilpa 5 was a popular model that combined performance with stability. This pair is an example of the last generation of wood skis made by the company, and still retains the same lustre it had when it left the factory. Skifabrikk has cleaned and prepped the skis so they are ready for display, or hopefully use! The original 4 pin bindings are included.
