From the land of the bear comes this lovely pair of early 1970s light touring track ("latu") skis. Helsinki-based Karhu (Finnish for "bear") equipped skiers ranging from the Finnish army to World Champions such as Harri Kirvesniemi.
Over the years these skis have been touched up and/or repaired, and the top edges have worn in a couple of places due to the inevitable criss-crossing that happens when regular people cross-country ski. But the logos are in great shape, and the skis have been protected by a coat of satin urethane. The bases have been refinished and tarred with some (shhhh.. Norwegian!) pine tar.
