People will drool when they see you sliding by on this nicely maintained pair of Kongsberg "Fjellski" from Norway. Fjell means mountain in Norsk, so the profile of these skis (i.e. wide) is suited for out-of-track skiing, such as in your back yard, or on your next trip up Denali. Wooden fjellski range from fairly light examples such as these, to heavy, metal edge torpedoes that basically do all the work for you.
Kongsberg is a municipality in southern Norway, a little over an hour to the west of Oslo. The Kongsberg Skifabrikk ran from the late 1930s until the early 1970s, producing wood cross-country and jumping skis. This pair is a great example of the factory's output. The pair is mounted with a classic pair of Gresvig "Kandahar" bindings. Kandahar bindings are to cable-style bindings what Xerox were to copy machines and Kleenex is to tissues. They're the real deal.
Tops and bases have been refinished by the industrious elves at Skifabrikk.
Bindings may be removed for shipment.
