Esko Järvinen of Lahti, Finland, was already an accomplished ski racer when he decided to apply his knowledge to the production of skis.  This pair is a touring model and has been nicely preserved since its manufacture in the mid to late 60s.  Some features include the classic "Esko Järvinen" script on the tips, which disappeared from later models, and solid hickory edges.  The large "Mestari" decals are in fantastic shape, and are unique in that they highlight the number of gold ("kultaa") medals won on Järvinen skis, vs the number of all medals won (including silver and bronze), which was more common.

Note that the main base material is a soft wood, perhaps pine, which makes achieving a completely smooth base a challenge.  Wax up!

As with all skis from this era, there are a few dings that Skifafrikk has expertly repaired; in the case of these skis they were once hung on a wall with small screws drilled through at each end.  We have plugged and smoothed over the affected areas so they are barely noticeable.  Usability is not affected.

NOTE: The original 4-pin bindings will be removed prior to shipment of the skis to prevent damage to the bases.  If the buyer does not want the bindings, Skifabrikk will reduce the price of the skis by $10.
