This pair is a time piece.  Among the last pairs of wood skis to emerge from Ivar Halvorsen's iconic ski company outside of Oslo.  Blå-Skia ("The Blue Ski") was a Norwegian craft ski maker that never produced more than 10,000 pair in a year.  This paled in comparison to some of its rivals who ramped production to over 100,000 at the height of the wood ski era.

The company, based in Nittedal, specialized in racing skis but also made some well-built, lightweight touring skis such as these.  They have never been drilled, and feature a "Treplast" base - essentially hickory strips impregnated with an epoxy solution that made the bases more hydro-phobic than plain wood.

This pair is never mounted, and ALMOST matching, with serial numbers different by one digit.  But they are in great shape, and will make a great display piece.  Or for use on the trails, if you are on the vertically challenged side.
