Sigmund Ruud was a champion ski jumper from Norway who ran a ski shop in Oslo after he retired. He sold skis and poles under his brand into the 1970s, and this pair of poles is a nice example. Beautiful leather handles and straps, and leather/wicker baskets. One of the poles has a slight split, at the bottom, as happens with bamboo poles. It has been repaired by the experts at Skifabrikk, using traditional methods, and is back to its original strength!
These are TALL. If you are tall, they are for you. Like really tall. Whoever had these back in the day was probably close to two meters high!
