Järvinen of Lahti, Finland, was the premier manufacturer of cross-country skis in the country from the 1930s to the 1980s. The "Erikoiskilpa" label on equipment meant it was top-of-the line - the word means "special racing". The baskets are interesting - plastic rings; this was during the transition from bamboo and leather ring baskets to all plastic baskets. Handles and straps are in really nice shape.
