Beautiful pair of Norwegian Sparta brand poles. Sparta made cross-country poles for ski touring until the 1970s. This pair has all of the classic features - leather handle, leather straps, bamboo shafts, and 4-point leather ring baskets. A great time piece from the period right before plastic and composite materials completely took over Nordic equipment. Cool Intersport stickers. Some splitting of the bamboo on one of the poles, but that is normal for poles of this age. Hockey tape is a quick fix and a vintage look.
