Collection: Bass Sports/ EIE (Nor)

This is an oddity in the history of Nordic binding design.  The EIE system, invented by Norwegian Dr. Nils Eie, required a special-purpose boot with a toe plate that would snap into the binding.  This eliminated the need for a clamp to hold the toe down, and saved weight. Don't remove your Rottefellas from your Bonnas quite yet - you'll have to drill 3 new holes to accommodate the reverse (of normal) screw hole layout.  Bass Sports of Maine worked with the Norwegian manufacturer of these bindings to market them in the USA.
