Normark was a US-based brand that worked with OEMs in the Nordic countries to produce goods for the US and Canadian markets. This binding is Swedish-made. At 135gm per pair they are also quite light, though they are marketed as a touring binding ("ski touring" was also a generic term used for cross-country skiing, to differentiate it from alpine). The main material used is aluminium, and the clamps that hold the toe of the boot down are a minimal design, further reducing weight.
