Collection: Østbye (Nor)

Peter Østbye was an innovator in the sport of Nordic skiing.  First by sponsoring the development of a patent for laminated wood skis, and then with the invention of klister.  His eponymous company made popular tar-based waxes until the 1990s.

An article about a visit to the factory in the last days of its existence is HERE (in Norsk).  From now-defunct "Snø & Ski" magazine.  Helpful English translation of the article is  HERE.
